First Things First

Before I begin posting about ANYTHING else, I must post about the wonderful fact that we are having another baby!  Brandon has wanted another child since about a week after Carson was born.  I took slightly longer to feel up for another, but we were on the same page as far as being seriously ready for about a year before we found out this blessing was headed our way.

Here are the stats about Bean #2 so far:

*We found out the first week of April--while I was on Spring Break

*Our 2nd kiddo should arrive sometime shortly after Thanksgiving. Actually, the due date is Dec. 2 (exactly one day after Carson's birthday). The C-section is scheduled for the Monday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.

*We're not finding out the gender. Brandon and I made a deal before we found out about Carson that we would find out the sex with our first baby & not find out with our 2nd. Honestly, I thought (hoped) Brandon would forget or change his mind...but he didn't. I'm glad we're doing it this way though.  The idea is that, because I have to have a c-section and lots of extra ultrasounds (due to my Crohn's disease), we will already know so much about the baby before it is born, including its birthday.  And because at this point we've done it before, we'll kind of know what to expect the day of the birth as well.  Brandon wanted something about it all to be a big surprise, and when he explained it like that, I agreed.  I think I'll agree even more once we get there--because right now, trying to plan a neutral nursery is driving me nuts!  :)

*We're super-excited about it, and Carson is more pumped up than we ever could have imagined. She talks every single day about the baby.  She asks about it, talks to it, hugs and kisses it, puts lotion on it (my tummy)--it's awesome to watch, and I can't wait to watch them truly interact one day soon!

*As I write this, I am 30 weeks pregnant and getting more excited every day about having another tiny bundle of joy to love, learn about, and learn from every day.  Let the countdown begin!
